Packbacking across Snoqualmie Pass
Total times: 0 days 8h Tour price: $ 175
The hike along Denny Creek is typical of many northwest hikes. The trailhead is easily accessible, the destination is a scenic alpine lake surrounded by steep slopes and you will share this trail with tons of other people on a summer weekend. The route along the creek is rocky, steep, and unsheltered, leaving you exposed to the sun for most of the trip. There really isn't a destination here as the trail continues on to connect to many other trails. That doesn't mean there isn't plenty to see here however. Located just a couple of miles from the trailhead, Keekwulee and Snowshoe falls are an impressive site to see. Beautiful snow fields sweep down to the Melakwa Lake (4.5 miles) from Chair and Bryant Peaks, making a perfect photo opportunity. From here you can continue on to Tuscohatchie Lakes (7.4 miles), Kaleetan Lake (9.7 miles) and much, much more.
